At a distance of 4 km from the settlement of Elafonisos, on the south side of the island there is Simos beach. This beach consists of two beaches, Megalos (Large) Simos and Mikros (Small) Simos. Megalos Simos is the longest beach in Elafonissos and Mikros Simos can be accessed within a short walking distance from there. A narrow stretch of white sand divides these two magnificent beaches which are gifted with turquoise exotic waters. You can get there by car and during the summer months there are boat trips from the old port of Elafonisos (Skala).

The highlight of the landscape are is the fine golden sand, the shallow, turquoise, transparent waters, the dunes that reach even 10 m in height and the cedar forest that stretches over a large area connecting the two beaches. The endless, white sand and turquoise waters give the landscape an exotic beauty. On the beaches of Simos and Sarakinikos you can admire the pink sand that comes from red corals that exist at the bottom, the countless colorful shells and the rich underwater space.

The most magical moment to be in Simos is at sunrise or nights without moonlight, so that everyone can see the countless stars. Βut also on full moon nights you live a rare experience in which the off-white sand reflects the moonlight and the sea is filled with silver dust (there is probably some kind of plankton that shimmers in the dark but is only visible in the moonlight).

Monemvasia in Greece is one of the most romantic places in the country. This is a Medieval Castle Town, exclusively carved on the slopes of a rock.

The Byzantine fortress of Monemvasia, the "stone ship" of Ritsos, stands firmly at the southeastern tip of the Laconian land, transporting visitors on a dreamy journey through time and history. Kastania Cave is a well hidden cave at the southern tip of the Peloponnese, at the eastern end of Mount Parnon and near Naples in Laconia. The cave of Kastania (or Agios Andreas, from the name of the small church nearby), due to its richness in density and variety of shapes, colors and shapes, ranks second in its kind in all of Europe!
